UNC-Chapel Hill School of Media and Journalism, CARE Malawi and CARE USA’s Sexual, Reproductive and Maternal Health Teams have teamed up for a collaborative storytelling project to share personal vignettes and lessons from CARE Malawi’s Maternal Health Alliance Project (MHAP).
MHAP, which began in 2012, is locally known as Muuni Wauchembree Wabwino, meaning the light guiding towards better maternal and newborn health. The program implements an innovative approach called the Community Score Card© which brings community members, health providers and government officials together to identify the barriers to accessing and delivering quality maternal health services and to work together to overcome these barriers with local solutions.
This project tells stories of the impact of the Community Score Card.
